The Theater Tax™ (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Theater Tax™ is operated by Eric Forsell; product content is authored by “Will”.

  • Purchase information: name, email, order ID/receipt details. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Communications: emails you send us, and (if you opt in) your email list subscription.
  • Usage/analytics: basic device and interaction data (e.g., pages viewed, referrer). We may use a privacy‑first analytics tool (e.g., Plausible) or Google Analytics as configured.
  • Cookies: essential cookies for checkout/functional features and optional analytics cookies.

How we use information

  • To fulfill purchases and deliver digital products.
  • To provide support, process refunds, and prevent abuse.
  • To improve our site, offers, and communications.
  • To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers necessary to run The Theater Tax™, such as payment processing (Stripe), hosting/CDN, email service providers, and analytics. These providers process data on our behalf under agreements that protect your information. We may disclose information if required by law.

Data retention

Order records are retained as long as reasonably necessary for our operations and to satisfy legal requirements (typically up to 5–7 years). Support emails are retained as needed to operate the service.

  • Request access, correction, or deletion by writing to will@thetheatertax.com.
  • EU/UK/EEA residents: you may have additional rights under GDPR (access, erasure, portability, objection). We will honor valid requests.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children

The Theater Tax™ is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted here with a new “Effective” date.
